Top Tips For Attracting Social Marketing Traffic

[Social network marketing is a hot topic, and you need to understand it and use it.  This is true even if you are a hermit by nature! Gren. Bingham]

Are you struggling to make money online? Are you constantly working your butt off writing content each and every day but are still not getting much traffic?

If you want to make money online, you must put out content. The more content you put out, the more chances you will have to make sales. But what good is putting out content if nobody ever sees it?

It doesn’t matter if you are the greatest writer in the world, if nobody sees it, you can’t make sales. In fact, you can be a terrible writer but as long as you have traffic, you will make more sales than the person who is the best writer in the world and has no traffic.

Ok ok… so I have stressed the fact that traffic is important if you want to make money online. So what is one of the best ways to get a large amount of traffic to your site quickly?

Using Social Media Marketing!

Social Media Marketing is the use of Social Media sites (of course) such as FaceBook, Twitter and MySpace, to send traffic to your sites. You can get a lot of traffic very quickly with these types of sites and the best part is it’s FREE!

Using these sites can be tricky because they are more like little communities who are very protective. You must provide them with great quality content or they will send you on your way.

Also, did I mention that they hate Marketers? :-) .

But as long as you write good content that provides good information, you’ll be fine.

Before you start submitting content to these sites make sure you participate in these communities and get a feel for how they funciton. After you have explored these sites and have joined in on all of the fun, then you can start to submit your own content slowly.

Also make sure to only submit a small percentage of your own content compared to primarily commenting on other peoples submissions.

Now you’re probably thinking, it’s really going to take a long time to set up these profiles and to fit in with everyone else.

Well you’re absolutely right it can take a long time, but there is a way to cut the learning curve in half.

There is a Social Marketing guide called “Social Traffic Explosion” that provides videos that show you step-by-step how to set up your FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter profiles the RIGHT way as well as giving excellent tips on how to get traffic from these sites without coming across as a spammer and eventually getting kicked out of the community. This guide will definitely show you the easy way to get the all important traffic to your site.

Beginning a Blog Using Private Label Rights

[Rick makes a good point here.  You can use various freely available content to pad out what you can develop yourself.  It need not be just PLR, you can get automatic updates from several souces too.  Gren. Bingham]

You in all likelihood know that by owning a blog it adds value to your internet site, but maybe you are not much of a productive writer or just do not have the time to devote to it. There’s a way to realize the benefits of a blog without having to commit to it a great deal.

You can purchase a set or even multiple sets of Private Label Rights (PLR) articles to use as your blog posts.

Of course you are going to need to find PLR articles that will fit in with your niche and marketing ends but that should not be hard to do. The subjects covered by PLR articles are almost limitless.

When you have found and bought a set of PLR articles, do not post them right away. The idea of a blog is to post quality content on a regular basis. You will have to decide, based on time and the number of articles you have available, how often each week is regular.

You could decide to post three times a week or only once, either is fine as long as you adhere to it. Once you have built up a good following of regular readers, they will continue to visit as long as there are some interesting posts to read.

You may well in all likeliness decide to make personal and modify each bit of PLR content before you send it to your blog, for a couple of reasons. The first is to make sure that you are only posting original content.

Private label rights content is meant to be altered and ideally you want your blog to be picked up by the search engines bots, So that this can happen you should alter at least between 20 and 50 percent of the content to make it fresh and also try to write it in the context of how you would write, as if you were writing an article from scratch. The 2nd reason to change the private label rights article is to try to make it blog friendly.

You will find that most blogs are written in a conversational form, where as nearly all PLR content isn’t. It won’t take much to alter it though, because the basic research has been done, and the idea is there for you to work with.

You could really like writing and don’t want to use private label rights content, thats all ok. Although you don’t want to use private label articles as the only means of your blog posts, they are still a favourable way to post at times when you might be away or not able to find the time to write.

The Four Most Common Mistakes You Can Make With PPC Ads

[Brian warns about problems with PPC.  PPC can be a useful part of how to get leads but you need to understand how to manage PPC campaigns.  Frankly, my view is that PPA is better than PPC.  Also, you can get lower cost results with PPC by using long-tail keywords which show good, regular hit counts with relatively low competition. Gren. Bingham]

Because it allows you to target prospects specifically by interest and location, pay per click advertising, or PPC, is one of the best options available. You can measure results precisely, and control ad spending, too. It’s also more affordable for small business owners than many other options, including billboards, television and radio.

Like anything else, PPC has disadvantages and shouldn’t be entered into without doing your homework. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of advertising could be wasted if you attempt a campaign that isn’t planned and doesn’t have a strategy. There is a lot of information offering guidance when deciding your PPC strategy, so it’s a good idea to learn more about it.

However, getting things off the ground doesn’t require a book worth of information. There are a few basic PPC mistakes that most business owners make when they start out. They’re easy to fix, and repairing these problems can increase your PPC campaign’s effectiveness dramatically. Here are the most common errors people make, and how to fix them.

Mistake 1. Using your home page as a landing page isn’t an effective way to convert clicks to sales. No matter what search engine you’re using, the landing page is the key to making the sale. Deciding where customers are directed, instead of just showing everyone your home page when they click on an ad, is the fastest and best route for the customer. Start sending them to other links and places and they will get lost and return back to the search page, probably to click on one of your competitors ads.

When people click on your ad , they are looking for a very specific thing that you’ve been advertising. Landing pages can be specific to ads, so that the person is taken directly to what it is you are advertising. This way, the customer gets exactly what they are looking for. Landing pages should be focused on keywords or phrases used in the advertisement and don’t clutter it up with other links or distractions.

2. Poorly customized landing pages. Make no mistakes about it, the landing page should relate directly to the ad and vice versa. The minute a potential customer gets confused or thinks they have gotten lost they will immediately exit back to the search. Your customer must be able to find what he or she is looking for, so advertised products or services should have their own landing page that addresses the keywords used in your ads.

3. Use of generic ad copy. You don’t have a lot of space to work with when it comes to PPC ads. That means that you can’t use phrases without meaning, such as “quality service”. Even if these statements are true, they don’t help bring in your prospects. Write your ad including specific keywords that potential customers will enter to find you. Use the main keyword in a captivating headline, and follow it up with the biggest benefit you can give your customers. Line three should include special features of the product or service, or an offer/discount. Specific keywords mean more clicks, and more effective clicks.

4. Low bid placement. All search engines use their own methods for determining where to put your ad. Yahoo and Google use a combination of the relevancy of your ad, and your bid price. One big mistake that many people make is not tightly targeting keywords enough to get top placement. As much as eighty-five percent of all PPC clicks happen on ads in one of the top three positions. If you can’t focus your ads tightly enough to get that top spot, you’re missing out on a lot of traffic.

Start Online Business Connections - Increase Your Social Networks

[Jane is talking about one of the most important things to grow your online business: how to get leads.  Personally I think "Twitter"ing is a waste of time, but tens of thousands don't.  Other sites like FaceBook and MySpace offer more function.  Your should take her points on board.  If you are not using Web2.0 social networks to get leads you should look into it right now.  Gren Bingham]

You can start online business connections and succeed faster by building your social networks. You can do this in person, or use the new web 2.0 websites to build a social connection with others, and get closer to your customers and prospects. It lets you reach new prospects that you might not otherwise meet.

These social networking sites are social because many people can interact on a single website. You start off by joining one of these social networking websites and creating a profile containing some information about you or your business. Include the skill sets you have, or the interests you have, and others can find you and get in touch with you by searching for these same things.

Sites like Twitter are really easy to use - you just sign up and post a sentence about yourself, and it is instantly available for the world to see and interact with. Other websites like Facebook are huge, with thousands of things you can do, and with tens of millions of other users, there’s no limit to the amount of people you can reach. If you interact with the groups and discussions on these kinds of sites, you can really reach a lot of people quickly.

Another powerful benefit of these social networking sites is the ability to connect with hard to reach people - gurus, millionaires, famous people - and build a connection with these people to really start online business connections that can make a big difference.

These social networking sites will also give you clues about things that others are doing to start a online business, and you can use these ideas and processes for starting online business ideas you have.

On these sites, you may also connect with members with problems and desires that can make you money. You can take these problems and desires and deliver something to fulfill them, and make a profit from it.

By being active on these social networking websites, you also get the benefits of more visitors to your main website, improved listings in the search engines, and more links pointing to your website, simply by adding a link to your pages and profile.

Social networking is only one of the many steps you need to start a online business, but it is key. Without other people, a business will not succeed, so get out there, connect with others, and start online business connections today. You’ll never regret it.

Marketing For Local Businesses Via Articles

by Rob Metras

[Rob's approach to using article marketing effectively for promoting local business in interesting.  It will require a bit more work to get results, but could lead to good income from local businesses as well as good local buzz about your promotional capabilities.  Gren. Bingham]

Article marketing for local businesses is very important to a local businessas brand name reorganization. But what is an article of internet marketing? Why is it so important to local businesses? What is there to know about article marketing for local businesses, and how do you use it to your advantage?

A very successful method of advertising is known as article marketing. Research on article marketing can help you find just how important it is to local businesses. Article marketing is the use of articles written on relevant topics to the businessas industry. The article is then submitted to various places for publishing and distribution.

Published articles can reach very far, and very wide. Most will be spread over the internet, but some will end up in magazines and other printed materials. Any individual looking for information of a particular subject will still be able to find them. The end of the article typically has information on the company, as well as contact information and a web address. Article marketing is an excellent way to find new potential clients.

Good quality articles will not only attract new customers, but potential customers will view the company in a positive light. If readers see the company who has written the article is particularly knowledgeable about a particular topic theyare interested in, they will see if the company has anything to offer them. They likely will, because the article was written by a company in that field.

Article marketing research is a good way to see what you can write articles about in your industry. When you find out what your potential customers are interested in knowing, youall be able to write marketed articles about those topics. Article marketing for local businesses can be a little trickier, because the business needs to focus on potential customers only in their area, which can be hard to do. Just remember to answer the questions you hear everday in your operation.

But you can use the internet to your advantage, by publishing your marketed articles in places specific to your area, such as forums or news web sites that focus just on your city and the surrounding areas. This way, your article is reaching more of the people in your area who are interested, and youare not wasting your time or resources reaching people who wonat be able to use your service because of the distance between you.

Article marketing can also save your local business a lot of time and money. Writing an article about something you are knowledgeable in does not take much time or effort, and getting it published doesnat cost much money. Many times you can find websites that publish for free. Few charge a very small fee.

Now that you understand the basics of article marketing, youall be able to apply it to your local business. The more you get your local businessas name out in the world, the more potential customers will here about you. Increase your brand name, increase your customer base, and youall see an increase in your profits.

How to Improve Lead Generation through Blogging

[If you are in business online, how to get well targeted leads should be a top question for you.  David discusses the basics of using blogs to generate leads.  The key thing is to understand how to write content to get visibility in search engines.  It is not rocket science.  In a highly competitive market, choose long-tail keywords. You might ask yourself what is LSI, latent semantic indexing.  LSI helps make your witten work rank higher in search engines because you put in words related to you main keyword.  Gren. Bingham]

Commenting on blogs, forums and online communities is one of the best ways to generate leads for your business. You can build a lot of back links for your website by being active in these forums and communities; even though a lot of these links will be ignored by search engines, these links will give potential customers many different ways to make their way to your website.

As you are probably aware, a blog is a sort of online journal. One of the best things about having a blog on your site is to build your brand and establish yourself as an expert in your field. Many blogs have allowed entrepreneurs to become a dominant force in their niche market and a source of information for others. While it takes effort and a long term strategy, blogging can be a very powerful tool.

Another good tactic is to use your blog for Long Tail SEO, which is SEO based on a larger number of specific search terms which are heavily used. Something a lot of website owners are unaware of is that very few searches using Google are performed using what they may think are the biggest keywords for their market.

So as a site owner, what does all of this mean for you? Your site will start coming up higher in search engine rankings for several different search terms, giving you a lot of extra traffic. This traffic can add up over time. If you do have a blog, how can you possibly come up with all of the content that you’ll need? There are a couple of ways to make this a possibility:

1. Hire Someone To Write It For You. You can find freelance writers to produce your content in many places, including Elance.com and Guru.com. If you want to become an influential voice in your field, you might find that you have to edit the content which they produce to meet your specific criteria; or lay out very specific criteria for the writers you hire.

2. Recycle Content. Recycle other contents such as newsletter articles, brochure content, other email documentation, or other types of contents that exists in your organisation but are not published widely. By doing this basically you’re leveraging existing content to reach a wider audience and basically get more bang for your buck for the content you’ve already generated.

Blogging can be very effective, but it also requires a long-term vision and sticking with it for a period of time. Some of the best results is on blogging can be located at becomeablogger.com, which is a series of how to videos. It’s pretty entry level, but it’s pretty comprehensive on how to get started blogging. Another great resource is entrepreneurs-journey.com by Yaro Starak, and Yaro is one of Australia’s, if not the world’s, most famous experts on blogging as a business tool.

Marketing Your Business.

One of the most vital aspects of this recent marketing concept which every business owner should be aware of is that it’s completely free. With the right idea, intuition and planning; viral marketing on social networking websites can return thousands of client prospects to any business website.

Social networking website, as the name suggests, are networks of people and friends who use the Internet to communicate, socialise and share, all through one website. Common websites of this nature are Myspace, Facebook, Bebo and many others.

These websites can be utilized through viral marketing methods; that is the concept of providing marketing material which propagates itself to many other people by giving an incentive for this to occur. For today’s Internet audience this incentive is usually interesting, entertaining and more commonly, not related to the business involved. internet marketing

This may sound confusing but it’s the system of these networking websites which allows this technique to become effective. For example if a business finds a video which could become popular. If this video is interesting, entertaining or both, it will entice viewers to pass it onto their friends to share it. By adding your website link or marketing message into that video as a footer, or maybe adding your URL to the video description, your business details are being passed wherever the video is sent. This is what makes viral marketing on social networking websites so powerful for businesses of any size.

One important factor must always be taken into account for successful viral marketing and that’s to not flood the media with your material. Journalists, the media and members of the public will value your contributions much more if every one of them has a sense of strong content and a good angle. Distributing viral releases or PR as much as you can will result in people devaluing your presence if the content isn’t worthwhile. internet marketing

Some websites such as Myspace also offer profiles which can be used to the same effect. Making a profile for your business allows you to add people all over the world as friends, who can see your profile and therefore any marketing message you choose to present. However an interesting, unique angle is often required to make the most effective use of this method. For example using an interesting, make-believe character as the profile owner or offering another, more attention-grabbing incentive for visiting your website.

Should you get professional assistance with social networking campaigns? That’s the question many businesses will ask.

“One of the great benefits of viral marketing on social networks and anywhere else is that it’s 100% free and can provide fantastic results. Good marketing agencies do have the Public Relations and marketing knowledge to get the right angle for your material, which will result in the most publicity. Whether a person chooses management for their viral campaigns depends on the situation they are in but if the budget is there then I’d certainly recommend looking into it.” internet marketing

Free Website Content From The New Article Marketing Automation

Many webmasters spend a great deal of time trying to make sure that their website design really stands out from the crowd and dazzles the website visitor with vibrant colors and graphic elements. But, more and more website owners and operators are learning that it is the free website content that they make available to visitors that is actually even more important that the design of the site itself.

Most people who are out surfing the internet are not nearly as interested in fancy website design as they are in being able to find good, solid information that they want. And, as internet users are becoming more sophisticated and web savvy, they increasingly want high quality, free web content that is interesting, fresh and original, and they want to get to it as quickly as possible.

This factor truly puts a greater burden on the webmasters nowadays. They now need to consistently offer up the free website content that will attract site visitors and encourage them to revisit the site frequently. The content also needs to be written with search engine optimization rules in mind so the website can be found easily by surfers, by having a good ranking in the search engine listings for a given term, or keyword.

The good news for webmasters who are looking to make their sites as attractive as possible to their visitors is that there is a great deal of website content that they can take advantage of for free. One of the best sources for free site content that a new website publisher can take advantage of are the new blog feeders such as Article Marketing Automation and Syndicate Kahuna.

These blog feeders have a vast number of articles written by other webmasters and article marketers from all over the world and on virtually every topic that a person can think of, providing a wealth of website content that is delivered and posted to your blogs for free. These blog feeders are quick and easy to sign up to.

Webmasters are given the right to use these articles on their own website pages, but there is one specific requirement that the webmaster must agree to in order to use the posts. Each article is written by an article or content writer and each article is allowed to include a couple of links that point to pages on their site or perhaps to an affiliate program.

These links are the author’s opportunity to promote their own website, or any other link they want to, in exchange for allowing you and the various other webmasters to use their work as free website content. This helps the content writer to gain publicity for their own website and at the same time gives any webmaster plenty of content to fill up their site without having to hire a web content writer, which is a real win-win situation for all concerned.

Tips On Choosing An SEO Effective Domain Name

by Bruce Hoover

[Bruce gives a good basic introduction to the choice of domain names for SEO/monetization purposes.  Gren. Bingham]

Domain names are as important to websites as attractive covers are to books. An interesting domain name never fails to attract web surfers to click through and check out.

If you think that putting all your innovativeness into the domain name will make it better, you are mistaken. Why does this happen? The answer lies in the keyword. If your domain name is innovative but not search engine optimized with keywords, the search engines will not be able to index it. In other words, your domain name must be appealing as well as crafted for the search engines.  Read this article to understand how both these can be achieved.

Start by researching for a search engine optimized keyword that can be a part of your domain name.  A keyword analyzer is the tool that can help you do this.  You will able to find such tools by searching on popular Internet engines.  Think of a sample keyword that tells about what your site is and enter it into the tool.  The analyzer tool will display several options for this sample keyword.  Choose those keywords from this list that describe more about what your website is about.

Your site is better search engine optimized if you use a long tail keyword because there will be fewer webmasters who will choose them.    Now, you can begin thinking about your real domain name.  The domain name service itself will probably tell you whether you can get a specific domain name or not.   If not obtainable, you will at least get some recommendations.

The best way to use this tool is to enter the keyword you have selected.   You will get other recommendations if this particular keyword is not available to use as the domain name.   Think favorably about the domain names that have the keyword and end with .com. If not, use your creativity.   Just putting in some filler words or numbers will allow you to retain your keyword.  Most people use ‘a’, ‘an’ and ‘the’ for such filtering purposes in their domain names. Search engines will overlook such words.   Therefore, your domain name gets optimized and also remains better in the visitors’ memories.   Use numbers at the end of the phrase.   Any number like 80 or anything else will do.

If you get everything but the .com, this is what you must do.You may opt for an extension other than .com, especially in the cause of very popular keywords.  Other workable solutions are .biz, .net and .org.  One more tactic is to use country or state specific extensions.  This works if international or local marketing makes no difference to you.  You can well understand that it is much wiser to be on the first page in the Indian Google than to be on the 86th page in the American Google!

It is not complicated to have a domain name that serves well for your visitors as well as for the search engines.SummaryOnly 10% of the success of your domain name depends on your intelligence. The rest depends on the keyword analyzer tool. The last straw, when nothing else works, is to resort to the extensions.

How To Select The Right Money Making Affiliate Program

Is your goal to start earning an income online, but you do not have either a product or service that you can sell.   If this is the case then why not consider getting involved in one of the many online affiliate programs that are now available.   If you do this, then you may find the real challenge comes when you are trying to find a program which suits you, because of the wide range of programs available.   Below we offer a few tips, which should help you when it comes to finding the right kind of opportunity in affiliate internet marketing for you.

There are several different reasons why people today are becoming affiliate marketers instead of actually creating a business built around their own products.  Some do it simply because they find this is a much easier and simpler way for them to earn an online income, without all the hassles associated with running a business with your own products.   Whilst others feel that, their marketing skills will be put to much better use this way and it will hopefully help them to achieve their desired financial goals.

Tip 1 - You should be looking for those affiliate programs that offer those who sign up to them plenty of free assistance and advice, along with training to help them succeed with their business.  Ideally, the ones that offer plenty of resources and continued support are the programs that you should be considering.

Tip 2 - It is important that you consider all programs and do not select only those where the commissions that they pay on sales are high. However,  you need to remember that you will have to put in the same amount of work and effort to market a product that only has a small sales commission as you would with those that provide a much larger one.

Tip 3 - Look for those programs that offer their affiliates the chance to earn further commissions on any residual sales that occur. These sites will pay further commissions to those affiliates who have customers who return to the site to purchase any further goods from it after previously bought using the affiliates link.

Tip 4 - It is best to go with the affiliate programs that allow you to track just how well you are doing with them. Then if you find that you are not doing as well as you expected you are in a position to make changes to your marketing campaign and then improve the situation.

Tip 5 - When you are first considering using any kind of affiliate program it is a good idea to go with those products or services that have a proven track record. Unfortunately, there are plenty of ones out there, which have not been tested and could end up with you losing money rather than making it.

Above we have given you a few guidelines that should help you in finding the right kind of affiliate business internet marketing online promotion, which will help you earn money online. If you keep these guidelines in mind then finding the right program for your will be far easier than you first imagined.
